Hello all!

I've been here a little over a week now, but I realized I haven't introduced myself yet! My name is Cat, and I am bringing in one Cho Hakkai from the old 2000s anime series, Saiyuki!

Hakkai is a polite yet absent-minded young man with a love for learning, traveling, and keeping his three chaotic accomplices in check. He's sort of like the mom-figure in his band of weirdos, often responsible for the cooking, cleaning, and overall caretaking of the group. With him comes his young pet dragon, Jeep, who can transform into a World War II military jeep. (Yeah, the series is just like that)

Deep down, he is a fairly complex character, though, with one of those tragic, angsty backstories that led up to him accidentally acquiring a massive body count on his hands. It's full of trigger-warnings, though, so feel free to check out his content warnings and opt-out options in his info page to see if there's anything you wish to avoid. (Saiyuki, as a series, has a stupid amount of adult themes and topics.)

He is also hiding the fact that he is not human; specifically, he is a plant youkai. However, he is very self-conscious about it and won't bring it up unless it's forced out of him by others. Although, because of that, he does have natural powers, such as producing chi blasts DBZ-style, creating energy barriers, and healing others with his energy. However, overall, he is a very kind and polite man, as long as people stay on his good side. He is always trying to make himself useful, despite being a self-conscious introvert.

As for myself, I am a recent West Coast transplant to the East Coast, currently trying to settle down and get my life back together after such a significant change. I've been swamped these days, but after a full year out of the DWRP scene, I've super missed it and am so happy to get back in! I mostly love to spend my time hyperfixating on old anime and video games, although I have also become a junkie for Chinese Donghua. Other than that, you will often see me spending time sharing pictures of my dog or discussing my job as a manager at a fragrance shop.
